My coworker: "This is Adam, he's leading the platform development."
Researcher: "Oh yes, I saw the platform! Very nice work!"
Me: "That's very nice of you, but really, there's a lot of things, we need to improve on it."
Researcher: "Oh he's so modest!"

Honestly, I'm not particularly proud of the work I've done. I inherited a bad situation and made the best of it, sure, but in and of itself, I'm not proud. But then again, I guess we are often our own worst critic.
